Competition is Hotting Up

The competition is hotting up as Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service prepares to announce the winners of its annual "MORE Staff Awards" event. The awards ceremony takes place this Friday at The Moat House, Stoke-on-Trent.

Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive Peter Dartford said: “As the event nears the anticipation is rising as we look forward to finding out who the winners of this year’s awards will be.

Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive Peter Dartford said: “Vital to the success of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is the people that form the organisation, so it is important that we recognise them and celebrate the hard work they do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” 

A working group, comprising of staff across the Service, selected the finalists in each category and the winners will be chosen by the Chief Fire Officer, Chairman of Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority and the Equality and Diversity Manager.

At the awards the winners will be announced by the Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive, Peter Dartford and trophies will be presented by the Vice Chairman of the Fire Authority, Cllr Barry Mycock.
