Moorlands Fire in Ramshaw

38 firefighters are currently tackling a heathland fire on land off the A53 in Ramshaw, in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

The call for the incident was received at 9.35am this morning. Initially three fire engines from Leek and Longnor were sent to the incident; however on arrival they requested further assistance.

Currently at the incident there are six fire engines from Leek, Longnor, Buxton, Ipstones and Biddulph, along with a Land Rover from Leek and a specialist water carrier from Cheadle.
