Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service - Preventing, Protecting, Responding

Fire Safety at Film Event

Fire safety will be on the bill at a film event in Lichfield this week.  The ‘Unforgettable Film’ event will take place at The Lichfield Garrick Studio and has been organised by a Lichfield firefighter.

"We hope that when people see the videos they will think about fire safety in their own homes and call 0800 0241 999 to book a free Home Fire Risk Check from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service."

Lichfield Firefighter James Hettihewa-Young

Firefighter James Hettihewa-Young has arranged for two Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service videos, ‘Plan Your Escape’ and ‘Don’t Try This At Home’ to be shown before each film and flyers will be available on the day with information about free Home Fire Risk Checks.

The event will run from June 17th – June 20th and classics such as The Godfather, The Goonies and Casablanca will be shown.

James said: "This event is the perfect opportunity for us to promote two of our fire prevention videos as the event is tailored to satisfy a variety of our target audiences, such as young families and older people.

"We hope that when people see the videos they will think about fire safety in their own homes and call 0800 0241 999 to book a free Home Fire Risk Check from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service."

The Lichfield Garrick Studio is set to be transformed into a cinema for the event, to give local people a rare opportunity to watch films that have changed the face of cinema.
