Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service - Preventing, Protecting, Responding

Firefighters Join in with Sunday Funday!

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will be joining the community at the Multi Faith Sunday Funday event this weekend.

"This is a great event that brings together people of all faiths for a day of fun and entertainment."

Equality and Diversity Assistant, Jo Hammersley

The event, being held at Victoria Park in Stafford on Sunday 18th July, will include entertainment for the whole family. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will have a stand at the event throughout the day. Visitors to the stand will be able to meet Service mascot, ‘Welephant’ and arrange to have a free Home Fire Risk Check carried out at their property. Stafford firefighters will be taking a fire engine to the event from 11am – 1pm and Newcastle firefighters will be taking their water rescue unit from 1pm – 4pm.

Equality and Diversity Assistant, Jo Hammersley said: "This is a great event that brings together people of all faiths for a day of fun and entertainment.

"Whilst children are looking around the fire engine we’ll take the opportunity to have a chat with parents about how they can ensure their family are as safe as possible in their homes."
