Rising Brook Community Fire Station will be opening its doors to the neighbours from Monday and inviting people to come in for a chat and a cuppa.

"If you want to come along to see the station, meet the crew or even just to have a chat and a cup of tea then feel free to visit from 2pm on Monday afternoon, we look forward to seeing you."

Watch Manager, Chris Hughes said: "We are launching the ‘Meet The Neighbours’ initiative because we want to get to know our local community as this is after all a Community Fire Station.

"Our Chief Fire Officer, Mr Peter Dartford will also be visiting on Monday to meet the local community and St Peter’s pre-school will be the first external visitors to Rising Brook Community Fire Station.
