Fire Service to Attend Audley Community Day

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending the Audley and District Community Day tomorrow from 10am – 4pm at the Community Centre at the Millennium Green.

Firefighters from the Targeted Response Vehicle (TRV) from Newcastle will be attending as well as two Fire Service volunteers to discuss fire safety with visitors and hand out fire safety literature.

Newcastle Deputy Area Commander, Helen Harrison said: "We always take any opportunity possible to promote fire safety to local communities and tomorrow will be about interacting with local people and hopefully raising awareness of fire safety.

"We will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions anyone may have and crews will also be taking the details of anyone who wishes to arrange a free Home Fire Risk Check."

The Community Day invites all parish groups to showcase their activities which are available in the local area. There will also be children’s entertainment on the day as well Audley brass band, Audley ladies choir and the local jujitsu group performing.
