Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service - Preventing, Protecting, Responding

TRV to Attend Village Fete

Firefighters from Stafford will be attending Barlaston Village Fete to promote the free Home Fire Risk Check service that Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service offer.

“This event is an ideal opportunity for us to engage with members of the public to promote the free Home Fire Risk Checks that we offer and also give out general fire safety advice.”

Firefighters will be at the event from 2pm until 5pm with the new Targeted Response Vehicle (TRV) that has recently been launched at Stafford Fire Station.

The TRV is specifically designed and equipped to deal with small incidents, such as car, minor grass and bin fires. When not responding to emergency incidents the vehicle’s crew will have community safety and arson reduction responsibilities for the Stafford Borough.

Watch Manager Karl Wood-Emery said: “This event is an ideal opportunity for us to engage with members of the public to promote the free Home Fire Risk Checks that we offer and also give out general fire safety advice.”

The fete will be held at Barlaston Village Hall in Barlaston on the 11th September.
