MORE Award Winners
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has announced its winners for the MORE awards for 2010. The ceremony, hosted at The Moat House Hotel at Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent was held to recognise and celebrate the teams and individuals who contribute to a safer Staffordshire.
Fire at Derelict Building in Longton
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident on Caroline Street in Longton last night where part of an unoccupied two-storey building had been deliberately set alight.
Extrication Challenge Winners
A team of firefighters from Lichfield have won this year's Extrication Challenge. This is their 3rd consecutive year of winning the competition. Stone were the runners up for the 2nd consecutive year. The winning team will now go through to the National Finals which will be held in Hampshire on 1st and 2nd October.
Barn Fire in Huntington
Fire and rescue crews from Cannock, Penkridge and Stafford were called to a barn fire on Cocksparrow Lane in Huntington shortly before 12.30pm today.
Competition is Hotting Up
The competition is hotting up as Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service prepares to announce the winners of its annual "MORE Staff Awards" event. The awards ceremony takes place this Friday at The Moat House, Stoke-on-Trent.
Rugeley Alzheimer's Event
