TRV to Attend Birthday in the Park

Firefighters from Stafford will be attending Birthday in the Park to promote the free Home Fire Risk Check service that Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service offer.

"This event is an ideal opportunity for us to engage with members of the public to promote the free Home Fire Risk Checks that we offer and also give out general fire safety advice."

Watch Manager, Karl Wood-Emery

Birthday in the Park is being held to celebrate 10th birthday of the Katherine House Hospice In-patient unit in Stafford. Firefighters will be at the event on 19th September from 12 until 3.30pm with the new Targeted Response Vehicle (TRV) that has recently been launched at Stafford Fire Station.

The TRV is specifically designed and equipped to deal with small incidents, such as car, minor grass and bin fires. When not responding to emergency incidents the vehicle’s crew will have community safety and arson reduction responsibilities for the Stafford Borough.

Watch Manager Karl Wood-Emery said: "This event is an ideal opportunity for us to engage with members of the public to promote the free Home Fire Risk Checks that we offer and also give out general fire safety advice."

The event will be held at Victoria Park in Stafford, entry to the park is free.
