Bonfire Night Safety

Bonfire night safety

Remember, remember to celebrate safely!

Have fun, stay safe and attend an organised display.

Bonfire night can be great fun for all the family but it is important that you celebrate safely.

We are appealing to everyone to take great care this bonfire night. We recommend that you visit an organised display. If you are having a display at home please make sure you follow the firework code.

It’s a fact that many accidents are caused by improper use of fireworks and by carelessness. Figures show that more children than adults get hurt by fireworks.

You’ll find lots of information and links to other websites here, to make sure you and your loved ones have a safe and memorable 2015 bonfire night.

An important part of our work at this time of year  involves bringing  the message home by touring Staffordshire schools and delivering hard-hitting messages about the importance of fireworks safety.

As part of our Operation Good Guy work, we also work closely with Staffordshire Trading Standards and local councils – to make sure retailers and the general public across Staffordshire have all the information and support they need to make their bonfire night safe. Find out more about how we work with our partners.
