Charity Car Wash Success

Staffordshire firefighters joined thousands of other firefighters from across the country in a National Car Wash at the weekend and managed to raise over £1,100 for the Fire Fighters Charity.

"We are very pleased with the amount of money raised for the Fire Fighters Charity and would like to thank everyone who came along and had their cars washed."

Angie Leigh, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity

Firefighters used their hoses to wash cars in a bid to raise as much money as they could for the charity and asked people to make a donation on their exit.

Angie Leigh, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity said: "We are very pleased with the amount of money raised for the Fire Fighters Charity and would like to thank everyone who came along and had their cars washed. The Charity is completely reliant upon donations from the general public and the fire community. The money raised will provide a wide range of support to retired and serving fire service personnel and their families during times of need."
