Road Traffic Collision in Stonnall

A call was received at 7.30am this morning reporting a road traffic collision on Chester Road in Stonnall.

 

“Firefighters had to remove the roof from one of the cars to free a female casualty who was trapped inside by spinal injuries.”

Fire and rescue crews from Stafford and Lichfield attended the incident that involved two cars.

Station Manager Ian Dawson said: “Firefighters had to remove the roof from one of the cars to free a female casualty who was trapped inside by spinal injuries.”

The driver of the other vehicle had got out of the car before the arrival of the fire service. Both casualties were taken to hospital by land ambulance.

The incident was closed at 8.45am.
