Community Drop-in Sessions at Tamworth Community Fire Station

Tamworth Belgrave Community Fire Station is throwing open the doors of the brand new community fire station to members of the public from Wednesday January 19th.

"If you want to come along to see the station, meet the crew or even just to have a chat, a cup of tea and a biscuit, then feel free to visit on one of the available dates, there’s no need to book - we look forward to welcoming people in."

A number of community drop-in sessions will take place, allowing members of the local community the chance to meet the Tamworth crew and tour the brand new facilities.

The drop-in sessions will be running at the Marlborough Way station on Wednesday January 19th 3pm – 6pm, Friday January 21st 3pm - 6pm, Saturday January 22nd 2pm – 4pm and Sunday January 23rd 2pm – 4pm.

Tamworth Area Commander, Del Roberts said: "We are holding the drop-in sessions because we want to get to know our local community as this is after all a Community Fire Station.

"If you want to come along to see the station, meet the crew or even just to have a chat, a cup of tea and a biscuit, then feel free to visit on one of the available dates, there’s no need to book - we look forward to welcoming people in."

Tamworth Belgrave Community Fire Station went live in December and is one of ten new community fire stations being built under a private finance initiative (PFI) project. The consortium delivering the project is called
