New Community Fire Station is a Hit!

24/01/2011

A staggering 2,000 people have visited Tamworth Belgrave Community Fire Station in just four days.

"Even though the community sessions have now finished it is important for local people to know that this new station is very much community based and are welcome to pop in."

Tamworth Area Commander, Del Roberts

Members of the local community were invited to pop into the station during the afternoon on January 19th, 21st, 22nd or 23rd to have a tour of the brand new community fire station, meet the crew and have a cuppa.

Tamworth Area Commander, Del Roberts said: "We were delighted to see so many people taking an interest in the new Community Fire Station – on the first event alone we had 300 visitors!

"We were astonished at how many people came over the weekend, a total of 1,390. It was a very busy weekend but it was wonderful to meet so many local people and hear their thoughts about the station.
