Two local Councillors have spent the day with Stafford firefighters on the targeted response vehicle (TRV).

Chairman of the Fire and Rescue Authority Cllr Len Bloomer and Authority member Cllr John Francis went out with crews to visit local hotspots which have recently been identified as areas of concern for community safety.
Chairman of the Fire Authority, Cllr Len Bloomer said: "A recent cause for concern across the county has been weather related incidents such as children playing on ice and also the danger of pets on ice. The chance to discuss potential solutions with the fire service for these issues was welcomed and has helped to enhance the great relationship which local elected members already have with the firefighters."
Stafford Assistant Area Commander, Ian Housley stated: "Whilst we are always identifying areas of concern and ways of addressing the issues, it is always a pleasure to receive input from our local councillors. By working together, we will ensure Stafford Borough is as safe as it can be and that we truly respond to the needs of our local communities."
Cllr Francis, Lead Member of the Stafford Borough added: "We are looking at problems in the Stafford area and by working alongside the fire and rescue service we were able to see things from their perspective. The time spent on the TRV allowed us to see some of what Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service do on a daily basis so which will help us to identify the best ways to work together."
