Community Information Event in Uttoxeter

A Community Information Event will be held at the Town Hall on High Street in Uttoxeter on Tuesday 8th February 2011 between 3pm and 7pm.

“The community facilities that will be available can be utilised by local community groups and Partner Agencies within East Staffordshire will be free of charge to use.”

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are hosting the event so that any groups or partners who may be interested in using the facilities at the brand new Community Fire Station, due to open in March this year, can find out more information and ask any questions about the new station and its community facilities.
Uttoxeter Community Fire Station has been built with both community and modern operational facilities and also includes fitness facilities that can be used by supervised groups.
East Staffordshire Assistant Area Commander, Brian Griffiths said: “The brand new Community Fire Station in Uttoxeter has been built on the original station site in the heart of the Uttoxeter community and has been designed to be inviting and welcoming to the public.
“The community facilities that will be available can be utilised by local community groups and Partner Agencies within East Staffordshire will be free of charge to use.”
The community facilities which will be available to partners and community groups include:

• Flexible meeting room for up to 20 people
• Small interview room  for up to 4 people
• Refreshment/preparation area
• Fitness room with potential to be used on a partnership basis for guided activity
• Partnership office space available under a service level agreement
• Reception/lounge area
