Bungalow fire in Goldenhill


Fire and rescue crews from Sandyford and Kidsgrove were called to a fire on Shannon Drive in Goldenhill, Kidsgrove this morning at 3:45am.

“The fire involved the front door and porch of the bungalow. The property was believed to be vacant and nobody was injured as a result of the fire.”

Upon arrival firefighters were faced with a well developed fire involving an end terraced bungalow. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

Station Manager Carl Mason said: “The fire involved the front door and porch of the bungalow. The property was believed to be vacant and nobody was injured as a result of the fire.”

Firefighters left the scene just before 6am this morning. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and is currently under investigation.
