Stafford Firefighters Scrub Up For Charity

14/03/11

Firefighters from the Stafford Borough will be taking part in a National Charity Car Wash this Saturday to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

“Not only can members of the public get their car washed and do their bit for charity, they will also be able to request their free home fire risk check, to ensure they are as safe from fire as possible in their homes.”

Angie Leigh, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity

Firefighters will be using their hoses to wash cars in a bid to raise as much money as they can for the charity! People will be asked to make a donation on exit.

Eccleshall firefighters will be holding their car wash at the fire station on Newport Road. Stafford firefighters will be holding their car wash at the fire station on Beaconside and will be donating some of the money to a local charity, St Josephs Convent in Stafford. Firefighters from Rising Brook will be holding their car wash at St Peters Church on Silkmore Lane in Stafford. All events will run from 10am – 4pm.
