Moorlands Firefighters Scrub Up For Charity

22/03/11

Firefighters from Leek will be taking part in a charity car wash to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

“Not only can members of the public get their car washed and do their bit for charity, they will also be able to request their free home fire risk check, to ensure they are as safe from fire as possible in their homes.”

Angie Leigh, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Firefighters will be using their hoses to wash cars in a bid to raise as much money as they can for the charity! People will be asked to make a donation on exit.

The car wash will be held at Leek Fire Station on Saturday 26th March from 10am until 4pm.

Angie Leigh, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity said, “Not only can members of the public get their car washed and do their bit for charity, they will also be able to request their free home fire risk check, to ensure they are as safe from fire as possible in their homes.”
