Bobbington residents are being urged to take firefighters up on the offer of a free Home Fire Risk Check.

"We would encourage people to take us up on our offer – its completely free and smoke alarms will even be fitted free of charge if you don’t have any or yours are not working properly.”

Wombourne Crew Manager, Matt White

Wombourne firefighters have today delivered Home Fire Risk Check posters to a number of properties in the area. Anyone who has received a poster is asked to display it in their window so that when firefighters return to the area next week, they know that household would like a free Home Fire Risk Check.

Firefighters will be in the Six Ashes Road, Brantley Lane, Brantley Crescent and Church Lane area on June 22nd,23rd and 25th from 9am – 3pm. They will be carrying out Home Fire Risk Checks at any properties who are displaying the poster, or alternatively making an appointment to return at a later date.

Wombourne Crew Manager, Matt White said: "There are quite a few homes in the Bobbington area that we have still not carried out Home Fire Risk Checks at.

We would encourage people to take us up on our offer – its completely free and smoke alarms will even be fitted free of charge if you don’t have any or yours are not working properly.”

“The fire engine will be parked on the Red Lion pub car park so anyone who isn’t at home whilst we’re out and about or who hasn’t had a poster but would like to have a free Home Fire Risk Check can just pop to see the firefighters on the appliance instead.”
