Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service - Preventing, Protecting, Responding

9/11 Anniversary

Members of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending a service to mark the tenth anniversary of 9/11 and the twentieth anniversary of the Fire Fighters Memorial, at St Paul’s Cathedral this Sunday.

The Service’s Ceremonial Squad, Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive, Peter Dartford, Chairman of the Fire and Rescue Authority, Cllr Len Bloomer and Director of Prevention, Dean Stevens will all attend the event. The Ceremonial Squad will be forming a guard of honour with other brigades outside the Cathedral at the start and finish of the service.

The service will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Blitz Memorial statue, opposite the Cathedral. During the ceremony the Chief Fire Officer will lay a wreath on behalf of the Service and the Chairman will lay a wreath on behalf of the Fire and Rescue Authority.
