Hanley Community Fire Station will be throwing opening its doors to the local community from 15th October and inviting people to come in for a chat and a cuppa.
"This is a great opportunity for us to give the public a real insight into the Fire Service."
Hanley Station Manager, Ian Read
The drop-in sessions will run on October 15th from 10am – 4pm, October 17th 10am – 12pm, October 20th 10am – 12pm and then 3pm to 7pm. Members of the local community are invited to pop into the station, meet the crew and have a tour of the brand new station.
Hanley Station Manager, Ian Read said: "We are holding the drop-in sessions because we want to get to know our local community as this is after all a Community Fire Station. If you want to come along to see the station, meet the crew or even just to have a chat and a cup of tea then feel free to come along to any of the drop-in sessions.
"This is a great opportunity for us to give the public a real insight into the Fire Service and for them to see all the different kinds of work we are involved in. It’s also a great way for us to raise awareness about the importance of fire safety in a fun and informal atmosphere."
Parking is only available for blue badge holders onsite, however additional parking can be found on nearby pay and display car parks.
