Donation for Eccleshall Student Firefighters

The student firefighters from Eccleshall Fire Station will be presented with a £300 cheque next week during a handover presentation from Eccleshall Parish Council.

"We are very grateful for the donation which will make a huge difference for the student firefighters."

The Parish Council has generously donated the money to go towards new equipment and uniforms for the student firefighters.

A presentation evening will take place next Wednesday from 6pm at the fire station. Student Firefighter Co-ordinator, Jess Patten said: "We are very grateful for the donation which will make a huge difference for the student firefighters.

"We will be using the money to get the students kitted out in the appropriate uniform and some will also go towards new equipment for them to practice drills with."

Eccleshall Parish Council Chairman, Cllr Gordon Dale said: "Eccleshall Parish Council is pleased to be able to support the young people of Eccleshall Parish in their training as student firefighters and from the feedback received it appears that the youngsters are enjoying this unique opportunity."
