Fire Safety Features on Festive Tree

17/11/2011

Tamworth firefighters have decorated their own Christmas tree which will go on show at St Editha’s Church from tomorrow.

"A lot of people who attend church are in our target audiences when it comes to fire safety and they may not always be aware of what we can offer."

Risk Reduction Officer, Louise Richardson

The firefighters have decorated their tree with fire service decorations, with each one displaying a fire safety message.

Risk Reduction Officer, Louise Richardson said: "The church has been holding the Christmas tree decoration event for five years now and each year we make our own decorations which carry important safety messages.

"A lot of people who attend church are in our target audiences when it comes to fire safety and they may not always be aware of what we can offer. Having our safety messages on display in their local church means they are more likely to see it and be aware of the service we offer.
