Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive Peter Dartford

The Fire Fighters Charity Ball was held last September at Staffordshire County Show Ground and was attended by 210 people.

A cheque has been presented to the charity for the money raised.

Staffordshire’s Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive Peter Dartford said: "The ball was a fantastic event and we are very grateful for the generosity of those that attended and thank everyone who put such a lot of work into making the event a success.

"The Fire Fighters Charity is a cause close to the hearts of many of our staff and so we are always keen to hold fund raising events."

The Fire Fighters Charity provides a service that enhances quality of life for current and retired fire service personnel and their families. It costs £9m every year to fund the charity and is completely reliant upon donations from the general public and fire community.
