Rugeley Firefighter Raises Money For Charity

A charity car wash is being held at Rugeley Fire Station this Saturday from 10am – 4pm.

“I’ve been training since October, running four times a week around 40 miles per week.  I am hoping to raise as much as possible and would really appreciate any donations.”

The car wash has been organised by Rugeley Firefighter, Matt Greensill who is fundraising in the run up to the London Marathon which he is taking part in on 22 April. The two charities he is supporting are; The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports ill and injured firefighters and their families, and the Robert Jones Agnus Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, which is a worldwide known centre for medical research in musculoskeletal injuries.

Rugeley Firefighter, Matt Greensill said “I’ve been training since October, running four times a week around 40 miles per week. I am hoping to raise as much as possible and would really appreciate any donations.”

Matt will also be selling raffle tickets which will be available at the car wash or by ringing 07837 098937. The raffle prizes include a signed framed Aston Villa shirt and a Vodafone cap signed by Formula 1 World Champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button amongst other signed memorabilia.
