Building Fire in Brewood

Fire and rescue crews from Brewood, Codsall, Cannock and Penkridge attended a building fire yesterday on Kiddemore Green Road in Brewood.

“Upon arrival fire crews were faced with a well-developed fire. The roof had collapsed and the rest of the building and its contents have been completely destroyed by the fire.”

The emergency call was received at 12.38pm reporting the incident.

The incident involved a single storey outbuilding approximately ten by four metres in size that was used to store vehicles.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using one hose reel jet and one main jet.

Station Manager Phil Smith said: “Upon arrival fire crews were faced with a well-developed fire. The roof had collapsed and the rest of the building and its contents have been completely destroyed by the fire.”

Firefighters remained at the scene for some time damping down.

The incident was closed at 5.46pm. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
