Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will once again be at the Staffordshire County Show next week.

The annual two day event is taking place at Staffordshire’s County Showground next Wednesday and Thursday, between 8.00am and 6pm. Representatives from the fire and rescue service will be joining partner agency Staffordshire Police.
The stand, which will be located at plot D stand 57 near to the main arena, has something to keep all members of the family entertained. Not only will firefighters be on hand to talk to members of the public, the brand new UNIMOG vehicle will also be there and firefighters will have a mechanical horse to carry out animal rescue demonstrations on.
Welephant will be on hand as always entertaining the children and kids aged four to eight will be able to join the Welephant Club, free of charge. They will then receive a welcome pack, four newsletters a year packed full of fun fire-related items plus a birthday and Christmas card.

Other teams from the Service visiting the event include the risk reduction team who will be taking home fire risk check referrals and speaking to people about the Service’s celebrate safely, BBQ safety and grass fire campaigns.
Firefighters will also be taking the opportunity to talk to local farmers and landowners about the dangers of wildfire and how we can help to protect the countryside and their homes.
