Residents Invited to Find Out More About New Community Fire Station

Burton residents are invited to an information session at Burton Fire Station to view plans for the new community fire station.

“We’d welcome residents to attend the session so we can share our plans and provide them with information as to how the construction phase of the project will be managed and what facilities will be on offer to them once the new community fire station opens."

The session is being held tomorrow, 19 July, from 5pm – 6pm; attendees will have the opportunity to speak to the team co-ordinating the build as well as station staff.

Project Manager, Norma Putman said: “The project is picking up pace now and we have recently announced the company responsible for progressing with the build of the station.

“We’d welcome residents to attend the session so we can share our plans and provide them with information as to how the construction phase of the project will be managed and what facilities will be on offer to them once the new community fire station opens.

“We look forward to giving the residents of Burton and surrounding areas a community fire station they can be proud of.”

The station is one of 11 community fire station in Staffordshire being rebuilt as part of a £50 million private finance initiative.
Light refreshments will be provided at the sessions, the fire station is on Moor Street, Burton, DE14 3SU.
