New Area Commander for South Staffs

South Staffordshire Area Command has welcomed new Area Commander Keith Stubbs to the team.

As Area Commander Keith will have overall management responsibility for the fire and rescue service throughout South Staffordshire. Keith joined the Service in 1982 and has previously worked around the County at Stations including Hanley, Newcastle and Stafford. Since December 2007 Keith has been based at Headquarters where he has co-ordinated the Services three year plan in the role of Safety Plan Manager. Previous to this he worked as Assistant Area Commander in Stoke-on-Trent and East Staffordshire.

South Staffordshire Area Commander, Keith Stubbs said: “I am delighted at my new role here in South Staffordshire. This is a new challenge for me and I am very much looking forward to it.”

Keith has replaced Steve Pope who has taken on the role of Area Commander in Stafford.
