Steve Pope, New Area Commander for Stafford

Stafford Area Command has welcomed new Area Commander Steve Pope, to the team. As Area Commander Steve will have overall management responsibility for the fire and rescue service in the Stafford Borough.

Steve joined the Service in 1986 and throughout his career he has worked at Stations around the County including Hanley, Newcastle and Burslem. His most recent role was in South Staffordshire where he worked as the Area Commander for three years. 

Stafford Area Commander, Steve Pope said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity, especially at such an interesting time with the building of the brand new station in Rising Brook which began last month. It’s an exciting time for the community and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Steve will be replacing Tim Hyde who has been taken on the role of Area Commander in the Moorlands.
