Road Safety Event in Stafford

As the cold weather is forecast to continue over the weekend and into next week, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is warning people of the dangers of icy conditions.

“We want to reach as many people as possible to ensure that they are receiving vital safety tips about driving in such severe weather conditions.”

Stafford firefighters will visit Stafford Services next week to promote winter road safety.

They will be at MOTO services on the M6 northbound carriageway in Stafford engaging with members of the public and giving safety advice about winter driving.

Ben Shipley, Community Safety Officer said: “We want to reach as many people as possible to ensure that they are receiving vital safety tips about driving in such severe weather conditions.”

Members of the public are encouraged to come along and talk to the team who will be available from 12pm until 5pm on 21st January.
