MORE Awards 2013

Tomorrow’s 2013 MORE awards, will see nine members of staff, teams and partner organisations, honoured for the work they have done with the Fire and Rescue Service over the last year.

The prestigious event will be held at the Ingestre Suite, Stafford County Showground on Thursday, March 7.

Local BBC broadcaster Paula White is hosting the evening, Staffordshire-born soprano Denise Leigh – who performed at the 2012 Paralympic Games opening ceremony – is the entertainer. The singer, who lives in Audley rose to fame in 2003 as the co-winner of the English National Opera and Channel 4 TV series, Operatunity. 

Paula, who has been in the broadcast industry for 20 years, has a weekday afternoon show in BBC Radio Stoke.

This is the sixth year the Fire Service has presented MORE Awards and a total of 25 members of staff, teams and local organisations were shortlisted for an award for their work.

Guests at the event will be treated to a sit-down meal before the awards presentation. Tables will be decorated with flowers sponsored by Crazy Daisies of Stone and both Kier plc and Calderpeel Architects are sponsoring awards this year.
