Hanley Firefighters Scrub Up for Charity

Firefighters from Hanley will be taking part in a charity car wash event on Saturday April 27.

The event will take place from 10am until 4pm at Hanley Community Fire Station on Lower Bethesda Street in Hanley.

Firefighters will be using their hoses to wash cars in a bid to raise as much money as they can for The Fire Fighters Charity. People will be asked to make a donation as they exit.

Angie Leigh, Service Co-ordinator for The Fire Fighters Charity said: “Not only can members of the public get their car washed and do their bit for charity; they will also be able to request their free Home Fire Risk Check, to ensure they are as safe from fire as possible in their homes.”

All members of the public who make a donation will be given a raffle ticket and entered into a draw to win a meal for four at the Smithfield Bar and Restaurant in Hanley.
