Chief Fire Officer Peter Dartford has thanked residents and motorists for their vigilance after there were no large incidents during the national FBU industrial action.
In total there were 15 separate strike periods which took place over eight days.
Mr Dartford said: “Once again I would like to thank the communities of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent for listening to our safety advice and taking extra care during the industrial action which spanned over eight days – the longest so far in this dispute. There were no major incidents during any of the strike periods which is a testament to residents and motorists.”
It was the 11th round of strike action to be held since the dispute between the FBU and the Government began last September over pensions.
