Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will display its animal rescue equipment during the popular Leek and District Show this weekend.

"Youngsters can climb into the various appliances that will be displayed. We will also be demonstrating rescue techniques throughout the event."

Leek Crew Manager John Walton

The crew will showcase life-saving techniques between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, July 26.

The animal rescue appliance from the town’s station will be on display at Birchall Playing Fields, off Junction Road, along with the moorland firefighting vehicle and the fire cadet vehicle.

Blaze Bear will also be on hand to entertain younger visitors and a fire and rescue service stand will feature information about prevention work, road safety and home safety.

Leek Crew Manager John Walton said: "The Leek Show is always a great day out for the whole family and is an ideal opportunity for residents to meet their local firefighters and learn more about what we are doing as a Service.
