A dedicated member of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority has been honoured with a MORE Award.

Bill Day, who represents Staffordshire Moorlands on the county council, scooped the prestigious title of Sonja Oatley Award for Member Involvement in the Community.
Chief Fire Officer Peter Dartford presented Councillor Day with the award during the seventh annual ceremony last night.
It was held at Cannock Community Fire Station and highlighted the excellent work carried out by operational and support staff as well as partners and volunteers.
Councillor Day was praised for his commitment to helping shape the future of the fire service through his work on the Scrutiny and Performance Committee.
He has been instrumental in helping to implement a pilot project in Cannock which saw a significant reduction in small fires. Councillor Day has also played a role in developing the Community Safety and Well-being Strategy.
Councillor Day said: "I'm absolutely over the moon; working on the fire authority never seems like a task - so to be awarded for something that I thoroughly enjoy doing is such an honour.
"I feel very privileged to work within such a fantastic team."
