Firefighters from Hanley will be holding a charity car wash event this Saturday, September 27. The event will take place from 10am until 4pm at Hanley Community Fire Station.

“Not only can drivers get their car washed and do their bit for charity; they will also be able to request their free Home Fire Risk Check, to ensure they are as safe from fire as possible in their homes.”

Motorists are invited to take their car along and have it washed in return for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.

Notes to editor - The Fire Fighters Charity is the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance the quality of life for serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families. It costs £9 million a year to keep the charity running and with no government funding they are completely reliant on the generosity and support from the public.
