Fire and Rescue Service personnel from across the county were awarded for their long service and good conduct at a presentation evening last night.

The medals and certificates were presented at an awards evening held at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Headquarters. The medals were presented by The Lord Lieutenant, Mr Ian Dudson and the certificates were presented by The Chairman of the Fire and Rescue Authority, Councillor Len Bloomer.

The Long Service Award is presented to members of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service who have completed 20 years continuous service, and the Fire Service Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded to members of the Fire and Rescue Service who have completed 20 years operational service and have demonstrated, during this period their good conduct, loyalty and devotion to duty.

The recipients from across the county who were awarded with the medal and certificate are as follows:

Firefighter Craig Bird from Barton under Needwood Fire Station.
Firefighter John Campion from Uttoxeter Community Fire Station.
Crew Manager Gavin Mottram from Abbots Bromley Fire Station.
Station Manager Toby Wilson from Service Headquarters.
Firefighter Dennis Wright from Cheadle Community Fire Station.

Mrs Kay Johnson from Service Headquarters was awarded the certificate.
