Sandyford Community Fire Station

Residents and local organisations who use the community facilities at Sandyford Community Fire Station are being re-assured it is business as usual, despite some external building work which will commence next week.

"We will ensure that disruption is as minimal as possible with visitors being directed to an alternative entrance, which is still accessible for disabled people and those with pushchairs."

Property and Logistics Manager Ralph Rhodes

The bridge that connects the building to the public car park will be replaced and so users of the facilities will be directed to an alternative entrance. The work is expected to take approximately six weeks from April 20.

Property and Logistics Manager Ralph Rhodes said: "Some corrosion to the bridge has been identified and so the original contractors will be carrying out work to rectify the issue, at no cost to the Service.

"We will ensure that disruption is as minimal as possible with visitors being directed to an alternative entrance, which is still accessible for disabled people and those with pushchairs."
