Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Abbots Bromley Fire Station

Firefighters are inviting residents to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Abbots Bromley Fire Station on Saturday, July 11.

"This celebration promises to be a great day for the whole family and I would encourage local residents to come and join us. We have a very proud history at Abbots Bromley Fire Station and we are all looking forward to marking this occasion with members of the community that we serve."

Crews will be putting on chip pan fire demonstrations and showcasing rescue techniques that are used in road traffic collisions.

A range of fire appliances will be on display including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Unimog.

Members of the team from fire control will be on hand to talk to visitors and there will be representatives from Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Refreshments including tea and cakes will be available along with a barbecue. A face painter will entertain children and there will be live music. The event will take place at the Goose Lane fire station from 10am-3pm.

There will be lots of entertainment for people of all ages, from dramatic demonstrations to live music and face painting – there is something for everyone."
