Cannock firefighters clean up for charity

21/09/2015

Firefighters from Cannock will be holding a charity car wash on Saturday September 26. The event will take place from 10am until 4pm at Cannock Community Fire Station.

“Drivers can get their cars washed and do their bit for charity at the same time. Motorists can also request a free Home Fire Risk Check and ensure that their family and homes are as safe from fire as possible.”

Watch Manager Ian Moss

Motorists are invited to take their car along and have it washed in return for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.

Notes to editor - The Fire Fighters Charity is the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance the quality of life for serving and retired firefighters, fire personnel and their families. It costs £9 million a year to keep the charity running and with no government funding they are completely reliant on the generosity and support from the public.
