Christmas lights switch on at Hanley fire station

Louise Stones from Signal Radio’s Andy and Louise show will be featuring the Christmas lights switch on at Hanley Community Fire Station in Thursday morning’s breakfast show.

The dynamic duo will be counting down to Christmas between 6am and 10am.

The second Stokie Christmas Market will be taking place at Hanley Community Fire Station on December 12 from 10am until 4pm.

More than seventy stallholders will be selling a variety of Christmas goodies – perfect for presents and stocking fillers. A tempting array of festive food includes roasted chestnuts as well as local favourites such as oatcakes and lobby.

Santa will be taking a break from his last minute preparations and dropping in to hand out presents from 12 noon (£1.50 per child).

Money raised from the event will be split between The Fire Fighters Charity, Douglas MacMillan Hospice, The Donna Louise Trust and Fresh Hair which is based at the Royal Stoke Hospital.
