Welephant will make a splash at charity car wash

02/12/2015

Firefighters from Stone will be holding a charity car wash on Saturday December 5.
Welephant, the service’s hugely popular mascot, will be donning his trunks and joining them and Santa will be making a special appearance.

“Mums and dads can bring the children along to meet Welephant and Santa and get their cars cleaned at the same time. It is also an ideal opportunity to sign up for a free Home Fire Risk Check and ensure your property is as safe as it can be from fire.”

Station Manager David Steele

Motorists are invited to take their car along and have it washed in return for a donation. The event will be a joint fundraiser between The Fire Fighters Charity and Helen’s Life Line which aims to raise funds for cancer treatment for Stone mum Helen Hutchinson.

The charity car wash will take place from 10am until 2pm at Stone Community Fire Station.
