Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has teamed up with Ken Jervis Dealership in Cobridge to deliver driver education and training for young people.

“We are absolutely delighted to continue our working partnership with Ken Jervis Kia. When I first spoke with Sean Cosgrove from Kia it was clear that we were both excited to be able to provide such a fantastic opportunity for these young people. Without the help of Ken Jervis this would not be possible.”

The Ken Jervis Dealership has generously provided a new Kia Picanto complete with dual controls to enable Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to deliver driver training as part of the Princes Trust Team programme.

Young drivers gain essential experience of ‘life behind the wheel’ and learn skills such as changing a wheel and checking a vehicle is safe. They are then given the opportunity to study for and take their theory and hazard perception tests.

Driver Training, Learning and Development, Rowan Kitton said: “We are absolutely delighted to continue our working partnership with Ken Jervis Kia. When I first spoke with Sean Cosgrove from Kia it was clear that we were both excited to be able to provide such a fantastic opportunity for these young people. Without the help of Ken Jervis this would not be possible.”

Managing Director of Ken Jervis Kia in Stoke on Trent, David Norwood, said “Ken Jervis are proud to sponsor Staffordshire Fire and Rescue in association with The Princes Trust. If we can help to change just one young person’s life it will have been a very worthy cause.”
