Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service - Preventing, Protecting, Responding

Service awards recognise dedication and hardwork of staff and partners

9/10/2017

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is set to recognise its staff at an awards ceremony this Thursday (October 12).

“We could not be more excited for our awards ceremony this week. It is so important for us to reward and recognise those who make it possible for us to continue to deliver a great service to the community."

Chief Fire Officer Becci Bryant

The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service Awards 2017 are being held at Sandyford Community Fire Station and will honour some of the amazing work undertaken by staff.

The Awards, which are the Service’s tenth, feature 12 categories, including nominations from fellow staff, partners and members of the public, with the aim of recognising all those who have made an outstanding contribution to the Service.

The awards have been kindly sponsored by local pottery Emma Bridgewater, who have designed and produced the actual awards, Simply Petals who have provided the flowers for the evening and Softcat plc, an IT suppler who are sponsoring the Future’s Bright Award.

Chief Fire Officer Becci Bryant said: “We could not be more excited for our awards ceremony this week. It is so important for us to reward and recognise those who make it possible for us to continue to deliver a great service to the community.

“This is also a fantastic opportunity for us to acknowledge the hard work of our partners and members of the public.

“It was a difficult task to shortlist the nominees as the standard was very high and each member of the team plays a vital role in delivering the first-class service that the communities of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent expect and deserve. However, the people who have been shortlisted really have gone the extra mile and we are delighted to recognise their outstanding contributions.

“We would really like to thank the kind sponsors who have helped to make this event as memorable as can be for all those attending. It promises to be a very special evening for all those attending”
