Charity Car Washes Raise Over £2500!

Staffordshire firefighters raised over £2500 at charity car wash events on Saturday.

"We’d like to thank all of those drivers that supported this event with their generous donations."

The car washes took place at stations across the County, with Stafford Fire Station raising the most. All money raised will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity.

Andy Buttery, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity said: "We’d like to thank all of those drivers that supported this event with their generous donations. The money raised will go a long way towards helping ill and injured fire service personnel and their families during their time of need."

The total amounts raised by individual stations was as follows:
Leek Fire Station – £135
Biddulph Fire Station - £81.30
Stafford Fire Station - £514
Burton Fire Station - £98.50
Barton under Needwood Fire Station - £311
Stone Fire Station - £233.85
Gnosall Fire Station - 485
Lichfield Fire Station - £504
Tamworth Fire Station - £223.35
