Thank you for your interest in finding out a little more about our Firefighter Apprenticeships.

We don’t advertise for Apprentice Firefighters – we advertise for Wholetime Firefighters and then use the apprenticeship programme to train and develop successful candidates to a consistent and high standard.

The Service has made the decision not to take on new Wholetime Firefighters this year, favouring the option to transfer-in already qualified and competent Firefighters with the skills we need to maintain organisational preparedness.

There may, however, be other opportunities to work for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and further develop – We use Apprenticeship programmes to upskill our new and current fire Staff! – Keep an eye on our website for vacancies.
