Crews extinguish house fire

We remain at the scene of a property in Stoke-on-Trent following a house fire.  

Crews got a call just after 1.30am this morning (Friday 7 June) to an address near Hunters Way, Penkhull, after smoke and flames were seen at a home.

The fire has since been extinguished by firefighters on scene.

No-one was inside at the time.

Gas and electric supplies of nearby properties have been isolated to make sure the area is safe.

An inspection into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
