Dog rescued from house fire

We rescued a dog following a house fire in Stoke-on-Trent over the weekend.

Crews from Hanley, Newcastle and Sandyford went to Ladysmith Road, Etruria, at 10.45pm on Saturday (2 December) following reports of smoke coming from a house.

The fire was extinguished by 12am on Sunday (3 December) by crews using a hose reel jet. A dog, which was inside at the time, was rescued.

The cause of the fire was deemed to be accidental.

Firefighters left the scene at 1.45am on Sunday (3 December).
